Born in xxxx, Star is a Paint-bred, primarily bay-colored mare. She stands 14.3 hands. This somewhat shy but truly sweet-natured girl came to Best Friends through no fault of her own - she just couldn't withstand the cold climate where she previously lived.
Star is retired from a life under saddle, and can no longer be ridden.
She's comfortable but requires daily medication for Cushings disease. Because of that, she can't have treats, poor thing, but she's more than willing to accept a good scratch behind the ears or on her belly, and she would love a home that could give her just that.
This gentle mare is looking for the love and safety that only a happy home could provide.
