Bruce's life before he came to the sanctuary had to have been hectic. All we know is that he was passed around from home to home. All that moving around has made him a little untrusting of humans. He really wants attention, and can be a vocal if he doesn't get it. But then he really hesitates and is unsure. You have to be willing to build a relationship with him if you want him to step up. And that would mean so much to him. What he needs is a cockatoo-savvy person who understands the heartache of having lost so many homes.
